Parts of the film "All These Women" were shot in the enchanting Norrviken Gardens in 1964. These are among the most beautiful gardens in the Nordic region, and are used for exhibitions and events. Rudolf Abelin's wonderful landscaping includes an Italian water garden, a romantic English garden, baroque and renaissance gardens, and a Japanese valley.

Dalby Söderskog, "Ronja the Robbersdaughter" ("Ronja Rövardotter")

The magical Mattisskogen forest, the place where Ronja Robbersdaughter faces some of her wonderful adventures, is situated around 10 km from Lund, in the Dalby Söderskog national park. The national park, which has a varied flora and many different tree species, is particularly beautiful in spring when the ground is covered in colourful and beautiful flowers. It is the ideal place to enjoy a relaxing walk in the idyllic, fairytale countryside. Half of the national park is surrounded by a remarkable and interesting embankment which is 56 metres wide and more than 1 metre high in places. It may once have been an old hill fort or settlement.

Brösarps backar, "The Brothers Lionheart" ("Bröderna Lejonhjärta")

Brösarps backar is a fantastic piece of Swedish countryside. Outside the picturesque village of Brösarp in the Österlen area, the emerald-green hills lie covered in cowslips in spring and a wide variety of plants and flowers in summer. Bring a picnic basket to the hills and enjoy the wonderful surroundings. The inn of Brösarps Gästgifveri offers meals and accommodation, as well as activities such as wine tastings and wildlife safaris, golf packages and conference facilities. Brösarps backar are within easy distance of walking trails, Kronovall manor and the popular steam train which runs across Österlen. "The Brothers Lionheart " is one of Astrid Lindgren's best-loved creations. The evil dragon Katla set fire to the juniper bushes on Brösarps Backar, where the final battle in the film based on the book "The Brothers Lionheart", written by Astrid Lindgren, takes place.

Hovs Hallar, "The Seventh Seal" ("Sjunde inseglet")

Many people have used words such as "dramatic" and "monumental" to describe Hovs Hallar on the Bjäre peninsula. Mighty rock formations, winding precipices and the sea rolling across large areas of cobblestone have caught the eye of directors such as Ingmar Bergman and Jan Troell. The view of the Laholm Bight is wonderful, and on a clear day, you can see the island of Hallands Väderö. Walkers can visit the hotels for excellent food, spa treatments and accommodation. On the shores of Hovs Hallar, the knight Antonius Bloch played chess with Death in the classic film "The Seventh Seal". The powerful, beautiful and timeless Hovs Hallar is the perfect backdrop for this scene. "The Seventh Seal", filmed in 1956, is regarded as a milestone in Swedish film history. The closing scene, which is also recorded at Hovs Hallar and which shows Death leading his victims in a dance macabre, are among the most famous in cinematic history.

Jordberga slott, "Jordberga Castle" ("Sommarnattens leende")

In the comedy Smiles of a Summer Night, Ingmar Bergman depicts love and infidelity in a castle setting. During the hot summer of 1955, the award-winning film was shot at Jordberga Castle and in the castle gardens. The gardens date back to the early 19th century, and are laid out in the style of an English park. The gardens were then added to in the early 20th century. Jordberga is home to one of Sweden's largest elms, dating back to the mid-18th century. The castle and gardens are open for guided tours, but these must be booked in advance.

Ystad Studios, "Frostbite" ("Frostbiten")

Ystad Regemente is situated only a few minutes' walk from the town centre and the beach. As well as Ystad Studios, the former military complex now houses a hotel with spa facilities, a market hall, restaurants and a cinema. Visitors to Ystad can also enjoy guided tours of the haunts featured in the books and films about DCI Wallander. Some of the successful films recorded at Ystad Studios include the 13 DCI Wallander feature films and the internationally-acclaimed "Mother of Mine" and "Frostbite".

Arild, "A Lesson in Love" ("En lektion i kärlek")

Ingmar Bergman's critically-acclaimed A Lesson in Love features David and Marianne who, after 15 years of marriage, each begin their own love affairs. One of the locations used for the film was the beautiful old village of Arild. Here, visitors can play a round of golf at the St. Arild Golf Course, a course on the Kullen Peninsula set among trees and ponds. The famous sculptural work of art, Nimis, can be found to the west of Arild in the Kullaberg Nature Reserve. Those with a sense of adventure can also go riding through the beautiful beech forests with Kullaberg Icelandic Horses.

Källagården, "The Brothers Lionheart" ("Bröderna Lejonhjärta")

In the filming of "The Brothers Lionheart", Astrid Lindgren's unforgettable book, Källagården was selected as the location for Nagijala. For the film, the Ryttargården farm was erected in the eastern part of the orchard, which neighbours Brösarps Backar. The old flowering apple trees formed the backdrop for Cherry Valley. Källagården is an old half-timbered farm, built in 1721. Källagården is situated in Brösarp in the beautiful countryside of the Österlen area in south-east Skåne. The farm is the home of mature orchards, and grows apples, pears, currents, plums and cherries. Accommodation is available in apartments or cottages. "The Brothers Lionheart" is a story much-loved by generations of children. Visit the place where the brothers Karl and Jonatan fought the evil knight, Tengil, and his dragon, Katla.
